Set up inside the Church of San Michele, a sacred building built at the end of the 15th century by Lombard craftsmen active in the territory with materials recovered from the adjacent Arco di Augusto, the Via Flaminia Museum proposes in virtual reality, through HD screens and touch devices, the archaeological heritage present along the ancient Via Flaminia. This makes the visit interactive and engaging, thus giving new life to the important consular road that connected Rome to Fano, reaching Rimini, a bridgehead for the Roman conquest of northern Italy.

Da Pesaro a San Benedetto del Tronto, lungo la costa Adriatica, alla scoperta dei principali porti e approdi frequentati dall’età del bronzo a oggi. Alla foce di fiumi e torrenti, entro piccole baie, promontori e grandi insenature, si svilupparono nell’antichità porti, porti canale, empori o semplici approdi. Questi scali furono il fulcro di una fitta rete di commerci marittimi che hanno dato vita a un intenso dialogo tra oriente e occidente, testimoniato dai ritrovamenti di reperti provenienti da tutto il bacino del Mediterraneo.
